Irish men and women who died in past wars or on service with the United Nations are being remembered on Sunday.
The annual National Day of Commemoration ceremony is being held in The National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks in Dublin - as well as at six locations across Ireland.
The President Michael D Higgins and the Taoiseach Leo Vaardkar will be in attendance.
Members of the Government, the Council of State, the Dáil and Seanad - as well as the diplomatic corps, judiciary and Northern Ireland representatives - will also be represented.
The next-of-kin of those who died in past wars or on UN service have also been invited.
They will be joined by a wide cross-section of the community, including ex-servicemen's organisations - as well as relatives of the 1916 leaders.
The Collins Barracks ceremony will be open to the public and those who want to attend should be there before 10.15am.
During the ceremony, President Higgins will lay a wreath on behalf of the people of Ireland.
While military honours will be given by a Captain's Guard of Honour from Óglaigh na hÉireann.
