Police in the US state of Nevada are investigating after the bodies of four people were found in a house there.

One of them is an Irish woman.

Reno Police Officers responded to a house on Wednesday morning after reports of a body being found.

An investigation revealed three other bodies inside the house.

They are believed to be members of the same family who live there.

Two of the bodies found were children.

NBC News reports that the case is believed to be a murder-suicide.

Police say it is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community there.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is aware of the case and providing consular assistance.
