An Irish woman who was tragically shot dead in New York last month will be laid to rest in Ireland on Saturday.
Denise Morgan, from Lavin Park, Tullyallen, County Louth, was living in Glendale, Queens when she was killed on October 21st.
The 39-year-old was murdered at her home on Saturday October 21st.
33-year-old Joed Taveras was also found dead in the house with a gun beside him.
Police are treating the cases as a murder-suicide.
A GoFundMe account was later set up to bring Ms Morgan’s body home to Ireland and €35,000 was raised for the repatriation costs.
Ms Morgan’s funeral mass will now be held on Saturday at 11am at the Church of the Assumption, Tullyallen, County Louth.
She will be buried afterwards in the Church cemetery.
Ms Morgan is survived by her daughter, Mollie, her parents, Deirdre and Noel, her siblings Lisa, Shannon and John, her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and Mollie’s father, Larry.
