US and Hamas officials have said a ceasefire deal has been reached between Israel and Hamas.
It is being reported that the Israeli Government will vote on a Gaza ceasefire tomorrow, following weeks of negotiations with Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet must approve any ceasefire deal, The Guardian reports.
A majority of ministers, however, are expected to approve the deal.
President Joe Biden is expected to address the agreement tomorrow.
If implemented, the deal would see the phased release of dozens of hostages held in Gaza and the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners from Israel.
The deal would also see the withdrawal of Israeli forces from central Gaza and it would allow for humanitarian aid to enter Palestine.
US President-elect Donald Trump has also claimed a deal has been reached.
"We have a deal for the hostages in the Middle East. They will be released shortly," Mr Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Additionally, there have been reports of Palestinians celebrating in Gaza and Israelis celebrating in Jerusalem.
President Netanyahu previously vowed to "destroy" Hamas, following the October 7th attack in 2023 in which 1,200 people were killed and 250 hostages were taken.
Over 45,000 Palestinian people have been killed by Israel's offensive in Gaza, according to Hamas' health ministry.
Following news of the ceasefire's progress, the ministry said an Israeli air-strike killed five Palestinians in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
