Shane Lowry claimed the WGC Bridgestone Invitiational on Sunday after he displayed superb nerve and some fantastic skill to stay within contention until the final day, before surging into the lead.
The Offaly man won the World golf Championship Bridgestone invitational in Ohio after a final round 66 gave him an 11 under finish. Lowry was 2 shots clear of Bubba Watson.
Graeme Mc Dowell ended tied for 17th on 1 under while Padraig Harrinton was 14 over.
It took all the nerve in the world to recover and produce a birdie on the 18th, but you can tell simply by Shane's reaction after he sank the putt that he knew exactly what was on the line and just how much it meant to him to finally get a big win.
What a show, Shane Lowry. Congratulations to the WGC-Bridgestone winner. #QuickHits http://t.co/Qb7Z4jkiua
