Ziggy and Karen Marley have been on hand in Los Angeles for what’s been proclaimed “Bob Marley Day.”

A special ceremony during a meeting of the city council praised their father.

Ziggy said the honour couldn’t have come at a better time – the day after Jamaica celebrated 50 years of independence – and as the country’s athletes triumph in the Olympics.
