Anton Savage will kick off his brand new mid morning show on Today FM this morning at 9am.

The show will be a mix of celebrity guests, human interest topics and discussions that make you think. Today FM has described the new show as “fun, cheerful and well informed”. “If you want to hear an Oscar winner talk about their latest project, discover why the juvenile sea squirt doesn’t need a brain or find out how to get the best from your health, relationships and family; this is the place to be”.

Anton has described his new role as a “great honour”, revealing he and his team have “big plans for the show” and are looking forward to“welcoming some new listeners into the Today FM family."

Today FM recently announced Anton’s appointment, prompting a massively positive response from listeners.

Anton has presented The Ray D’Arcy Show, The Last Word and The Sunday Business Show on Today FM as well as The Apprentice: You’re Fired! on TV3. Since 2011, he’s hosted Savage Sunday from 11-1pm on Sundays, taking that slot to its highest ever ratings.
Anton’s first job was as a researcher with Today FM when the station originally launched.

Speaking about his appointment earlier this month, he said: “Today FM has an extremely loyal listenership, so it’s a great honour to be given the task of picking up the huge audience Ian hands over at nine."

The Anton Savage Show will be on weekdays from Monday, 26th January, 9am-12 midday.
