The mother of another murder victim says Celine Cawley's family must be 'going through hell' today.
Rose Callely's daughter Rachel was murdered by her husband Joe O'Reilly at their Dublin home in 2004, he's now serving a life term for the killing.
Rose says the short sentence imposed on and the remission given to Eamonn Lillis is 'immoral', and her thoughts today are with Celine's grieving family.
She said: "My first thoughts are with her family... They can't negotiate their sentence. They have a life sentence.
"They must be growing through hell and my deepest sympathies to them."
She also stated that sentences were too lenient: "They should really have to do a sentence that fits the crime and that is not happening by a long shot."
Rose also spoke about the fact that Eamon Lillis was leaving prison a rich man:
Ten years after the murder of Rachel O'Reilly, her husband applied to have his conviction for her murder declared a miscarriage of justice.
The 30 year old mother of two was beaten to death in a bedroom at her home in the Naul in North Dublin on October 4th 2004.
