As she navigates her early 50s, Newstalk Breakfast host Ciara Kelly said she is "embracing" the new stage in her life.
This week, Guardian columnist Zoe Williams said turning 50 has meant the journalist "no longer cares" about her age.
The sentiment rang true for Ciara, who said she "feels good" about this phase of her life.
"I go around looking 50, probably feeling 50, but in my head, I'm about 30," she said.
"I think that's how other people view me, and even though I have no evidence to support that, that's kind of how I am.
"I just feel like I did when I was 30, except for with more confidence and that is a very pleasant place to be."
Physical
Fellow host Shane Coleman said he had a "glass three-quarters empty" approach to ageing.
"There's a couple of things I hate – one is the physical toll that the years take," he said.
"I played a game of five-a-side last week. My feet were so sore the next morning I literally couldn't walk.
"I walked down to the Luas stop after the show – I was like a 90-year-old man, it took me 15 minutes to walk a tiny distance.
"When I get out of bed in the morning and I literally pad instead of walking to the loo."
Noticed
Shane said he feels women no longer "notice" him in public.
"My female friends would say to me all the time, 'Well, we don't get noticed'. I think it's exactly the same for men," he said.
"The only time anyone has looked to me in the last three or four years was a woman who was about 20 years older than me.
"To be honest, you know what? I was flattered. I took it. You'll take it from anywhere."
'Invisible'
Ciara said she still assumes people are noticing her in public.
“I don’t know what it says about me but I haven't noticed people thinking I'm invisible or stopping checking me out," she said. " I nearly presume people are checking me out."
"I wonder is it in our heads? In my head, very little has changed.
"I genuinely like the confidence that comes with ageing and I haven't hit the wall."
Shane said he is still not comfortable with growing older.
"I miss being young – I do. I miss being young; I’m being honest here," he said.
