A former District Court judge serving a 2 and a half years sentence for deception has pleaded guilty to a new charge.

Heather Perrin of Lambay Court, Malahide in Co. Dublin has admitted falsifying an account with an intent of making a gain.

It happened on a date between May 2004 and February 2009.

She appeared at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court before Judge Mary Ellen Ring who has put the matter in for sentencing on March 13th.

Deception conviction

The former judge was convicted last year of deceiving an old family friend into leaving almost half of his €1 million estate to her children.

The 61-year-old included her 2 children as main beneficiaries of Thomas Davis's will in January 2009 while acting as his solicitor.

She was appointed a judge in February of that year but resigned following her conviction.
