The funeral has taken place in Arklow of James Sheehan.

His body was found in the Avoca River last week.

Hundreds of volunteers joined in the search for the 18-year-old.

He disappeared after a night in a club with his friends on Saturday August 18th.

His body was eventually found last Thursday by a volunteer diver.

Gardaí said on Friday they were not treating his death as suspicious.

A post mortem carried out on the remains of the teenager found he died of natural causes.

The mass took place at St. Mary and Peter Church in Arklow this morning.
