In the US, a verdict is due later in the trial of a former New York banker accused of raping an Irish student in 2013.

Jason Lee (38) denies the charges against him.

Prosecutors allege he sexually assaulted a student (20) at a summer house he rented in the resort area of the Hamptons.

Mr Lee was celebrating his birthday when he met the Irish woman and her friends. The students had been working there during the summer season.

He is facing one charge of rape and two charges of sexual assault.

The Goldman Sachs banker claims he had sex with the victim, but that it was consensual.

The Irish woman flew to New York and to testify.

Mr Lee could face up to 25 years in jail if he is found guilty after the three week non-jury trial.
