The inquest into the death of the man behind the abduction and killing of Jastine Valdez will resume in December.

On May 19th last year Jastine, originally from the Philippines, was walking in Enniskerry in Co Wicklow when she was approached by 40-year-old Mark Hennessy.

He bundled her into his car boot, killed her and dumped her body, which was recovered two days later.

An inquest into the death of 24-year-old Jastine found she died of asphyxia.

Hennessy was shot dead when gardaí searching for the missing student approached him in Cherrywood industrial estate in Dublin.

GSOC Investigator Nicholas Harden today told Dublin Coroner's Court that the Garda who shot Jastine's killer will not face disciplinary action.

Yesterday, the DPP recommended that the detective not be prosecuted.

Mark Hennessy's family members were in the Coroner's Court today, when it was decided an inquest into his death will be heard on December 4th.
