US talk show host Jay Leno has accepted a pay cut – to save the jobs of other members of staff working on “The Tonight Show”.

About 20 workers are said to have been laid off – as NBC clamps down on expenses.

The payroll purge affects about 10 percent of the staff.

It’s reported Jay Leno’s annual salary will be reduced by 5 million dollars – to about 20 million.
