Spanish rescue teams have found human remains in the area where British teen Jay Slater went missing last month.
Police in Tenerife said evidence strongly suggests the remains are those of the missing 19-year-old.
The body was found with Mr Slater's clothes and near the last recorded location of his phone.
A postmortem is due to be carried out soon.
Mr Slater, from Lancashire, went missing on June 17th after leaving a house in the northern area of the island.
He had set out to walk back to his own accommodation in the south – roughly 11 hours away.
At 8.30am on June 17th, Mr Slater called his friend Lucy Law telling her he had missed the bus and his phone was at 1%.
The teenager had flown to Tenerife with friends on June 13th to attend a music festival at the Papagayo nightclub.
Several rescue teams searched the mountainous area over the past month, while his family launched a fundraiser to continue the search.
The family has asked for privacy "as they come to term with the news", according to overseas crisis support network LBT Global.
