/> The mother of murdered Irishwoman Jill Meagher has visited the site in Melbourne, where her daughter was last seen alive last weekend.
Jill’s grief-stricken parents, Edith and George McKeon joined with over 20,000 people in the suburb town of Brunswick today – to march in solidary, calling on the local authorities to make the streets safer.
The 29 year old’s body was discovered outside Melbourne on Thursday – 41-year-old Adrian Ernest Bayley has been charged with her rape and murder.
Jill’s mum Edith hugged the shopkeer, who’s CCTV camera played a pivotal role in helping police find Jill’s body and suspected killer.
She also spoke publicly and thanked everyone for their ongoing support.
