Dundalk musician Jim Corr has been ordered to appear before the Commercial Court over a €1.4 million debt to ACC Bank. The 48-year-old is to be cross-examined on May 15th by the bank's lawyers over a judgment order he consented to in February 2011.

The unpaid loan was issued to him and others in 2004 to buy lands at Goresbridge, Co. Kilkenny.

Mr. Justice Peter Kelly today consented to the bank's request having been informed by Bernard Dunleavy, BL, of efforts to enforce the judgment.

He concluded that while there had been correspondence between solicitors for ACC and Jim Corr an inadequate amount of information had been supplied to the bank.

Mr. Justice Kelly has ordered the musician to appear in court for questioning on May 15th. He has also consented to a request from Jim Corr's lawyers Adams Corporate to come off record.

The solicitors claim they have been unable to obtain adequate instructions and will no longer represent the 48-year-old.

Jim Corr is best known as a member of Dundalk pop folk group 'The Corrs'.

His conspiracy theories on topics such as 9/11, swine flu and the American military have also received widespread media coverage.
