US Vice President Joe Biden has arrived in Dublin at the start of a six-day visit to Ireland.
While here, he will participate in bilateral meetings with Taoiseach Enda Kenny and President Michael D Higgins, and visit his ancestral homes in Mayo and Louth.
The American-born Democrat will also deliver remarks on the Irish-American experience - and the values of tolerance, diversity and inclusiveness.
Mr Kenny welcomed him at Government Buildings tonight, and presented him with a hurley and sliotar.
