Large parts of Dublin City Centre are closed to traffic this morning due to US President Joe Biden’s visit to the capital.

Some 45 streets in the south inner city have parking restrictions in place.

Meanwhile, 11 streets in the area are now fully closed to traffic.

The Phoenix Park closed its gates at 5pm yesterday and will remain closed until 5pm this afternoon.

President Biden has four separate engagements in the capital throughout the day.

Here are all the streets that are currently closed:

• Kildare Street
• Molesworth St
• Merrion Street
• Merrion St Upper
• Fitzwilliam Lane
• School House Lane (Access from Molesworth St only)
• Merrion Sq West
• Merrion Sq South

Further closures kick in from 8am on Thursday:

• Ship Street
• Castle Street
• Palace Street (closed to pedestrians)
