Jordanian athletes accused of sex assaults return home

3 Jordanian paralympian squad members accused of sexual assault in Northern Ireland have pulled out of the Paralympic Games.

The Jordanian team has been training in Co. Antrim in advance of the competition next week.

The 3 were detained on Monday.

Yesterday they appeared in a Coleraine court on charges.

31-year-old Omar Sami-Kahradi was accused of 2 counts of sexual assault against 2 children, a woman and of voyeurism.

Motaz Al-Junaydee who is 45 was charged with assaulting a woman.

While their trainer 35-year-old Faisal Hammash was accused of 2 counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

According to the Associated Press the Jordanian Paralympic Committee says the 3 will be flown home later.

However they will be returned to court in Northern Ireland on October 18th for their hearing.
