A new video has been released by Islamic State extremists, showing the British hostage John Cantlie, apparently in the Syrian town of Kobani.
In the five-minute film Mr Cantlie appears to walk through the war-torn streets of the besieged Syrian town.
Narrating the video in the style of a news report, Mr Cantlie counters Western claims that IS fighters are being driven out of the town.
He says IS fighters have in fact gained control of large areas of the town despite continual US-led airstrikes.
The authenticity of the video cannot yet be verified, nor whether the British hostage is in fact in Kobani.
John Cantlie has been shown in a series of videos in recent weeks in which he speaks about IS and criticises the West over its strategy in Iraq and Syria.
The 43-year-old was captured in northern Syria in late 2012 while working as an independent photojournalist.
