No surprise that for most weather stations last month was the coolest July in at least 10 to 24 years.
Average temperatures ranged from 12.6 degrees Celsius at Knock Airport which is its coolest since 1998.
While Malin Head reported an average temperature of 13 degrees which is its coolest July in 40 years.
Rainfall was above average nearly everywhere with the highest amount falling in the Dublin area, Midlands and South-west.
Meanwhile the Irish Farmers Association (IFA) says farmers are under huge mental strain caused by the failure of crops and difficulties cutting silage due to the poor weather.
