A jury at the inquest into the death of a mother who died after giving birth at Sligo Regional Hospital has returned a verdict of death by medical misadventure.
Sally Rowlette gave birth to her fourth child in Feburary 2013. She was 36-years-old when she passed away after giving birth.
The jury of five men and four women deliberated for over two hours before returning the unanimous verdict of death by medical misadventure.
They've issued a number of recommendations, including counselling of women with a medical history of HELLP Syndrome and providing advice in regard to future pregnancies and the risks involved.
