The Justice Minister says there is no "specific information" to suggest a terrorist threat to Ireland.
Frances Fitzgerald this morning briefed her Cabinet colleagues on issues arising from last week's attacks in Paris - and on the threat made against Intel's plant in Co Kildare yesterday.
The Minister says she will continue to cooperate with her international counterparts to share any relevant information - and says the behaviour of a "small few" here who might try to facilitate terror will be monitored.
She added that "the threat does not come from particular religions or communities" - but rather from terrorists - who alone must bear the responsibility for their acts.
Yesterday a threat was made to the Intel plant in Leixlip in Kildare and the caller claimed to be from Islamic State. Gardai treated the threat as credible and investigations are continuing.
