The husband of Jill Meagher says the family of Karen Buckley have a hard road ahead.

Tom Meagher says he is thinking of them at this difficult time.

Efforts are continuing this week to return the body of the student nurse (24) to be buried in her home in Mourneabbey in Co Cork.

A man (21) has been charged with her murder.

Mr Meagher's wife, Jill, was murdered in Melbourne in Australia while walking home on a night out in 2012.

Tom says there are similarities between the two cases.
