Outgoing Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan says she’s been feeding her replacement with nuggets about co-star Matt Smith.

Jenna-Louise Coleman, who used to be in Emmerdale, joins the sci-fi drama as the Time Lord’s new assistant when Amy Pond bows out.

Gillan says she won’t be returning for next year’s 50th anniversary special.
