Karl Deeter is one of Ireland’s best-known mortgage experts.
If you’ve watched him on his regular media apperances and wondered about his accent, well he was born and raised in Los Angeles.
His family has a long tradition of serving in the military in the United States, and his father fought in the Korean War.
After the war, his father became a successful racing car driver until he was forced to retire on health grounds. He has since passed away.
Karl’s mother, Georgina, was Irish-American and so he came to Dublin to study Business and Finance in DIT. He met his wife, Louise, here when he was just 19. He fell and love, and so he stayed.
He and Louise have since married and they have two sons, Sam and Casey.
