Kate Bush is to play a series of concert dates for the first time in over 30 years.

The reclusive singer, famous for the hit 'Wuthering Heights', made the announcement on her website and will play 15 shows in London later this year. She last toured in 1979 and has stayed out of the public eye for decades.

She was and is considered to be one of the most consistently creative artists.

Newstalk's Tom Dunne says expectation around these gigs will be as high as for Led Zeppelin's one-off in the London O2 or Monty Python's upcoming July dates.

"She has never let standards slip" he said, adding that while her releases have become more sporadic, they remain "as brilliant as ever".

Her last release was '50 Words for Snow', which Tom says "was as fresh as her first". Tickets will go on sale on Friday March 28th.

"You won’t be able to get tickets - accept this now - but she might do some interviews. We can but dream".

Will this make the cut?
