While the Princess of Wales’ health remains a mystery, many have asked why Kate Middleton won’t go on the record if everything is fine.
The Princess of Wales has been making headlines recently for her supposed “disappearance” from public life after royal officials announced she had undergone surgery.
While Kensington Palace said from the first announcement the princess would not be making public appearances for a few months, many think there is something deeper behind her absence.
Speaking on Late Breakfast with Stefanie Preissner today, Flop Culture podcast host Fionnula Jones said the lack of public engagement and transparency have fuelled conspiracies.
“This is a woman they trotted out after giving birth,” she said.
“I don’t know what the difference is unless she is more unwell.
“I hope she’s not, but it would take a very simple statement or photo or an Instagram Live of her saying, ‘It’s okay lads’”
Ms Jones said the conspiracy truly grew legs when the Palace released a photo of Kate and her three children supposedly taken by her husband Prince William.
The Mother’s Day photo was given a kill notice by major photography organisations such as AFP, AP and Alamy due to concerns it had been manipulated and photoshopped.
“That's adding fuel to the fire because you know obviously you have people who are saying she’s much sicker than she’s letting on or she’s having marital problems,” Ms Jones said.
The Palace later posted a message reportedly from Kate apologising for her “amateur” photoshop skills.
“Which is nuts because the original story was that Prince William took the photo,” Ms Jones said. “So why are you editing the photo?”
Kate's Adobe subscription?
Presenter Stefanie Preissner one of the most unbelievable stories so far is that the Princess of Wales has used photoshop ever in her life.
“Are we meant to believe that Kate Middleton has an Adobe Photoshop subscription?” she said.
“Are we meant to believe she is adding layers to her photos and then sending it to global news agencies?”
Stefanie agreed with Ms Jones that at this stage, if there is no “tin foil conspiracy”, the Princess of Wales needs to go on record in a verifiably legitimate video.
