Katie-George Dunlevy and pilot Linda Kelly have won the silver medal in the women’s B road race – Dunlevy’s third Paralympic medal in Paris. 

The duo finished the 99.4km course in 2 hours and 37 minutes, following closely behind gold medallists Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl from Britain. 

Ms Dunlevy and Ms Kelly already won a gold medal in the women’s B individual time on Wednesday and silver in the velodrome in the pursuit event last Sunday with Eve McCrystal.

British cyclist Lora Fachie and pilot Corrine Hall took the bronze medal this afternoon in Paris.

Taoiseach Simon Harris congratulated the second-place pair, saying Team Ireland was “again doing us so proud”. 

“What an incredible achievement from both,” he wrote on X. 

This is Ms Dunlevy’s eighth Paralympic medal overall. 

Ireland has won six medals at the Games in Paris so far.

Orla Comerford from Dublin won bronze at Tuesday night’s women’s 100m T13 final, finishing in 11.94. 

Róisín Ní Riain from Limerick also clinched bronze on Tuesday, this time in the SM13 200m individual medley at the La Défense Arena. 

Ms Ní Riain also secured Ireland’s first medal of the games on Friday, August 30th, earning silver in the 100-metre backstroke with a time of 1:07.27. 

Tomorrow, Richael Timothy will compete in the women's C1-3 road race, while Britney Arendse will be in the women's 79kg powerlifting final.

Team Ireland will return to Dublin from the Paralympics on Monday afternoon.
