UK-based travel website Big 7 Travel has said Keem Bay on Achill Island is "a breathtaking rural and sheltered beach."

"The sun might not always be shining, but when it does, it's world-class - and yes, it’s beautiful even on a rainy day".
The annual rankings use aggregated stores from previous media results, official Blue Flag locations and contributions from an editorial team.
Keem Bay comes in at number 48 on the list.
Other top beach spots include locations such as Curaçao, Panama, Vanuatu and Indonesia.
The top spot goes to White Beach near Port Barton in the Philippines, which the websites describes as "a pristine gem."
It said the beach being hard to reach "means the beach is clean and wonderfully quiet."
"Think hammocks, powdery white sand, kayaks to rent, and of course, crystal-clear water - all with a backdrop of lush forests."
Cabo San Juan Beach in Colombia, St Lucia's Jalousie Beach, Kendwa Beach in Zanzibar and Australia's Whitehaven Beach make up the top five.
Other destinations on the list a bit closer to home include Navagio Beach in Greece, Praia do Camilo in Portugal and Cala Pregonda on the Spanish island of Menorca.
