Keira Knightley’s admitted that she’s had to take a step back, because at one point she had no life besides acting.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, the actress says there was a time when the fame from such roles as “Bend it like Beckham” and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise was too intense.
“I literally had no life outside of acting, and I just wanted to go off and not be ‘on’ all the time, not be photographed…” she said.
“I once went to the Glastonbury music festival and was completely surrounded by packs of paparazzi the entire time, so I ended up sitting in a trailer, unable to go out.”
She says she learned to “switch off” by diving into books and cooking.
