County Kerry boasts four of the top five hotels in Ireland, according to the latest rankings from Tripadvisor.
The Old Weir Lodge in Killarney has jumped to the top of the rankings from its sixth place in last year’s Traveller’s Choice list.
The family-run hotel was also ranked as the tenth best in Europe.
The Merrion Hotel in Dublin is only non-Kerry hotel in the top five – which also includes the Ballygarry Estate & Spa in Tralee, the Killarney Park Hotel and Cahernane House in Killarney.
The Top 10 is as follows:

Meanwhile the Traveller’s Choice top five restaurants in Ireland include three in Kerry, one in Cork and one in Dublin.
Rozzer’s Restaurant in Aghadoe retained its title as the best fine-dining restaurant in Ireland – boasting a five-star rating from over 850 reviews.
The restaurant, run by Head Chef Paul O'Gorman, is based in the Killeen House Hotel and combines modern Irish and classical French culinary styles.

The website had also published a ‘Top Overall Experiences’ list for Ireland, with a guided walking, biking and kayak tours dominating the list.
Shenanigans Walks, a guided walking tour in Kilkenny came out on top, followed by Howth Adventures’ Dublin Hiking Tour.
