Gardaí investigating the death of a woman in Kerry say they have now upgraded the case to murder.
The decision was made following the results of the post mortem examination. However for operational reasons, the gardaí say these details will not be made public.
The body of Susan Dunne was found in her house in Lixnaw, near Listowel, shortly before 10am yesterday. She was found in a bedroom of the bungalow she shared with her son, Patrick (19).
It is understood she was found by a neighbour and had suffered head injuries.
A 19-year-old man who was arrested in connection with this investigation remains in garda custody.
