Two schools in County Kerry have sent students home following confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The primary and secondary schools are in the west of the county.

The secondary school was informed that one of its pupil’s had tested positive this morning.

It responded by sending home all students in the pupil’s year. Public health officials have been in contact with the school and are no coordinating the response.

The primary school, which is in the same area of the county, sent home two classes after one child tested positive.
