North Korea's leader has met the Russian president for their first ever summit.
Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin are meeting in the city of Vladivostok in eastern Russia.
The pair held a two-hour meeting today, with Mr Putin describing the talks as 'thorough'.
According to the TASS news agency, the Russian leader welcomed efforts to normalise relations between North Korea and both South Korea and the US.
Putin indicated he hoped the visit would 'help settle the situation' on the Korean Peninsula.
He said: "We talked about the history of our interstate relations, the current situation and the prospects for the development of our bilateral ties."
Mr Kim said it was a "splendid time", adding: "I hope that our negotiations will continue in the same way, as fruitful and constructive."
Despite improvements in US-North Korea relations over the past two years, talks on denuclearisation have recently reached an impasse.
In February, a second major summit between Mr Kim and Donald Trump was called off early as the two sides failed to reach an agreement.
North Korean officials have criticised US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and asked for him to be replaced as a negotiator in the nuclear talks.
