Kneecap spent six months preparing for their acting debut.
The Belfast rappers performed in the Irish language film Kneecap - a comedy drama about their lives that also stars Michael Fassbender.
Reflecting on their performance, the band said it was a “great new buzz for us” and it might not be the last people see of them on the big screen.
“We did acting class for six months and had to stare each other in the eyes and do weird stuff like pretend we’re trees,” band member Moglaí Bap said.
“But it worked out alright; I think it’s pretty fun acting and maybe there might not be a market for 80-year-old rappers, so maybe I’ll be able to act.”
The movie has already been submitted by IFTA as Ireland’s entry into the 'International Feature Film' category but the band have no intention of giving up the day, having recently performed at Glastonbury.
“It was very cool,” Moglaí Bap said.
“We played at half 11 in the morning and then at half one in the morning.
“So, it was a 14 hour gap between the two gigs - which was a bit of a struggle.”
Kneecap is released in Irish cinemas on Thursday.
