Kylie Jenner and Kylie Minogue are set to become involved in a legal battle as the two stars look to claim ownership over their shared first name.
Minogue, who is known for her long career in music and acting, is attempting to block a move from Jenner to trademark the name 'Kylie' in the United States.
KDB, an Australian intellectual property firm representing Minogue, lodged an opposition to the application from Jenner, who is described as a "secondary reality television personality" in the documents, according to The Guardian.
The case also claims that Jenner, who shot to fame as part of the reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has faced criticism from "African-American communities and disability rights groups", and that Minogue's brand would be diluted by allowing Jenner to trademark the name.
