The search of a house in Drogheda is currently underway in connection with the disappearance and suspected murder of Kyran Durnin.
The house will be subject to technical and forensic examinations.
The focus of this is the back garden of the property, and forensics have been dismantling a shed in the last couple of hours.
The people connected to the address have been spoken to by Gardaí in the past but have not been arrested.
Gardaí have said the purpose of the search is to discover evidence that may provide an insight into what happened to Kyran and where he might be now.
Today's search is expected to continue for some time.
So far, three homes in County Louth have been searched and two arrests have been made, but no charges have been brought forth in connection with the case.
A man in his 30s who was arrested in connection with the case was later found dead at a house in Drogheda.
Kyran has not been seen since 2022 when he was six-years-old; however, he was only reported missing in August of 2024.
He would now be eight years of age.
Gardaí have once again appealed to the public to contact the investigation team with any information pertaining to the case.
