Gardaí have completed a dig of wasteland in Dundalk for missing Kyran Durnin.
The eight-year-old boy was reported missing around six weeks ago but Gardaí now believe he was last seen over two years ago.
After two days of searching an area of wasteland near the former Durnin family home, it is understood that they have found no evidence linked to Kyran's disappearance.
The Garda Technical Bureau left the scene a short while ago.
Garda investigators have also removed a digger, chainsaws and strimmers that they were using to search the site.
A forensic examination of the Emer Terrace house that Kyran used to live in and the garden at the back of the property has also been completed.
Meanwhile, it is believed that the investigating team have identified another location in County Louth that they plan to search in the near future.
