Gardaí have released new images of Kyran Durnin as they issued a renewed appeal to the public for information about the missing child.
Kyran has not been seen since 2022 when he was six-years-old; however, he was only reported missing in August and Gardaí fear he may have been murdered.
In a statement, Gardaí said they are aware of “extensive” public discussion about the case and that there continues to be “speculation, rumours and theories on what may have happened to Kyran.”
“An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to the public, notwithstanding all the information that is in the public domain, to not assume that the investigation team knows the information that you may have,” a spokesperson said.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, will be welcomed by the investigation team.
“This information will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
So far, three homes in County Louth have been searched and two arrests have been made.
Last week, a woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and questioned about the case; she was later released without charge.
Afterwards, a man was also arrested and questioned about Kyran’s disappearance.
He too was released without charge but on Tuesday, he was found dead.
