A man who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of the murder of Kyran Durnin has been released without charge. 

Kyran, who would now be eight-years-old, was last seen in 2022 but was only reported as missing in August.

Gardaí fear he is now dead.

On Tuesday, a woman was arrested on suspicion of murder but was subsequently released without charge.

Yesterday, Gardaí carried out a search of two homes in Drogheda, with one concluded very quickly and another concluded today.

Gardaí have said they are not releasing the results of either search for operational reasons.

They are continuing to appeal for any information which may assist in the investigation.
