Kyran Durnin’s father has turned up at a property that is being searched in County Louth.
The search at the house in Drogheda is continuing this afternoon.
Kyran Durnin’s father showed up at the property to view the Garda search operation earlier this afternoon.
He stood outside the house that is being searched accompanied by two friends and at one point he got visibly distressed and started shouting, “He’s my son, yous don’t understand”.
The schoolboy, who would now be eight-years-old, was reported missing at the end of last summer but Gardaí believe he may have been killed over two-years ago.

His father is not and has never been a suspect in the disappearance of Kyran.
The main focus of this current search in Drogheda is the back garden of a house.
Gardaí and forensics have excavated the garden with a mini digger, while they have also been cutting down trees and dismantled a large shed as the search continues.
