Thousands of people were left with no electricity, with more than 35,000 customers in Finglas without power.
Their supply has since been restored, but several areas and around 600 people remain with no power.
Customers were affected in Pelletstown, Malahide, Balbriggan, Gloucester Place and Mount Merrion.
ESB estimates that all issues should be resolved by 11.45pm at the latest tonight.
People can check the status of their supply on the ESB's PowerCheck website.
