Around €30,000 of what is believed to be the drug known as Mandy has been discovered by Gardaí in Co. Cork.
Officers made the discovery following a search of a field in Bishopstown.
Earlier this week the Health Service Executive (HSE) issued a warning about the substance after 2 men in their 20s were found dead in a house in Kinsale.
It is believed Mandy may have been a factor in their deaths.
The funeral of Michael Coleman took place in Waterford yesterday.
Gardaí have arrested 4 people as part of their investigation into the supply of drugs to the 2 young men.
All of those 4 have been released without charge.
Files are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Gardaí are examining the possibility the drug was dumped in the wake of their deaths and the subsequent appeals.
The drug is a brown powder containing both MDMA and PMMA.
It is known to have killed a number of people across Europe.
