Singer Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay around a million dollars in tax.

The Grammy winner pleaded guilty to the charge last year.

The star, 37, has told a judge in New Jersey she always meant to pay, but couldn't while she dropped out of the music industry.
