Life of Pi – based on the best selling fantasy adventure novel – has opened the New York film festival.
The movie is about a Hindu boy who gets stranded on a lifeboat for nearly a year with a spotted hyena, an orangutan and a Bengal tiger.
Its director – the Oscar winning Ang Lee – says he went on a personal journey making the film:
Ang Lee has won ‘Best Director’ Oscars for Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
