Life Scientific founder and CEO Nicola Mitchell has been named the 2020 EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
She won the top award at this year's ceremony for leading the agrochemicals company, which develops off-patent crop protection products.
The company is headquartered in Dublin and employs more than 70 people.

The frontline workers of An Garda Síochana and the HSE were awarded the 2020 Special Award for their heroic efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
EY managing partner Frank O'Keeffe said this year's ceremony was run virtually for the first time in the 23 years of the programme.
He said: "We are incredibly proud of our team in EY, but more importantly of the 24 phenomenal finalists.
"What's most important about tonight - about our winners and all our finalists - is the phenomenal stories we have... the can-do attitudes, and the businesses they are building under really difficult times."
Mr O'Keeffe said Ms Mitchell's business is on a 'trajectory of incredible growth', and has been focused on building high-quality R&D jobs.
He added: "I'd say watch out world - Nicola Mitchell is a phenomenal entrepreneur."
Nicola Mitchell will now represent Ireland at the World Entrepeneur of the Year Awards next year.
