Restricted breeds
Jamie said the tragedy has re-opened the debate around restricted breeds.
"This tragedy has reignited the debate about so-called restricted breeds: these are dogs that are perceived or seen as more aggressive," he said.
"There's 11 breeds on that list.
"Earlier today Minister Heather Humphreys was asked about it and mentioned a cross-governmental stakeholder group she set up to examine the whole area of restricted breeds.
"So we await their findings on that," he added.
