A man in his 40s is due in court in connection with four burglaries, three thefts and three criminal damage incidents in Limerick.
The incidents took place in the area between August and October of this year.
They include burglaries at two pharmacies, a coffee shop and a college; theft from two shops and a pharmacy; and criminal damage at a pharmacy and two shops.
Yesterday morning, gardaí from the Crime Task Force in Limerick and detectives from Henry Street found and arrested the man in his 40s.
He was held at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He has since been charged, and is due to appear before Limerick City District Court this morning.
The recently established Crime Task Force in the city is focused on investigating burglaries, in particular targeting areas and times considered to be "hotspots" for burglaries.
